National Hairdressers Federation launch hairdressing competition that could give an unknown hairdresser and photographer instant fame.London -- London, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Knowing how much the public enjoy seeing talented people given the chance to come from obscurity to fame, the National Hairdressers' Federation Artistic Committee has created an exciting hairdressing hairdressing, arranging of the hair for decorative, ceremonial, or symbolic reasons. The National Hairdressers Federation is launching its new hairdressing/photography competition at the forthcoming hairdressing Spring Challenge on 11th May as part of the Spring Salon Salon, annual exhibition of art works chosen by jury and presented by the French Academy since 1737; it was originally held in the Salon d'Apollon of the Louvre. By the mid-19th cent. the Salon had become an expression of conservative, established tastes in art. 2003 exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. It is designed to bring together the skill of hair stylists and the creativity of the photographer in the "NHF Photographic Stylist of the Year". The competition allows an individual or a team to present a style created in the hairdresser's own salon and submit photographs of the "finished look" to the judges. This competition also gives hairdressers the opportunity to either demonstrate their salon make-up and photographic skills or to link up with a local professional photographer and make-up artist to create and portray por·tray tr.v. por·trayed, por·tray·ing, por·trays 1. To depict or represent pictorially; make a picture of. 2. To depict or describe in words. 3. To represent dramatically, as on the stage. a style that shows off their combined talents. The ability of the contestants will be judged from the submitted photographs and only the top ten will be invited to Birmingham with their model to parade before a jury drawn from the fashion and photographic world and witnessed by the thousands of hairdressers attending Spring Salon 2003.
